Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) is a four year programme (full time) affiliated to Dr. APJ Technical University, Lucknow approved by AICTE.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has been formed with the establishment of IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida in 2005. The department is vibrant with several activities round the year. Research focus is there in all tires of education. The Department encourages, research in Mechanical as well as inter-disciplinary areas.
The Mechanical Engineering Department at IIMT, Greater Noida takes pride in achievements of its alumni, who have shined in various walks of life.
VISION OF THE DEPARTMENT:
“To create Mechanical Engineers having excellence and competence in addressing the needs in the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering and allied areas with high ethical values in line with changing industry trends with a social commitment”.
MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT:
1.To nurture professional leaders in research, innovation and excellence in the field of Mechanical Engineering in under graduate and post graduate levels.
2.To produce socially sensitive mechanical engineers with professional ethics.
3.To produce well-rounded, up to date, scientifically tempered, design oriented engineers capable of lifelong learning.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) –
Mechanical Graduates will have strong fundamental technical knowledge and with capabilities to develop core competency in diversified areas and allied fields with the use of software tools to expand their knowledge horizon and inculcate lifelong learning.
Graduates will have effective communication, leadership, team building, problem solving, decision making skills, and software and creative skills by understanding contemporary issues thereby contributing to their overall personality and career development.
Graduates will develop a practical attitude with ethical responsibilities and service towards their peers, employers, society and follow these precepts in their daily life.
PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs):
PSO-1: Mechanical Engineering graduates will be able to function in the area of design, modeling, simulation and analysis to realize physical systems /processes by creating knowledge base and facilities.
PSO-2: Mechanical Engineering graduates will be able to apply preceding knowledge of materials, testing and advanced manufacturing to realize physical systems /processes leading to research and consultancy capabilities.
PSO-3: Student will imbibe holistic approach to manage industry oriented projects in multidisciplinary environments.
