SCHOLASTIC ACTIVITIES |
The scholastic year begins in April each year
and is comprised of three terms : April-August, September-December
and January-March. The School is affiliated to the
“Council FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS
NEW DELHI”. It prepares students firstly, at
the secondary level (classes IX & X) for INDIAN
COUNCIL FOR SECONDARY EDUCATION ICSE, and eventually
they move up to “PLUS TWO” level (classes
XI & XII) that leads them to INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE
EXAMINATION ISC, in HUMANITIES, SCIENCE AND COMMERCE
STREAMS.
Evaluation
of Scholastic Activities
Regular Parent-Teacher meetings are an important feature
of our academic system. School curriculum is in strict
accordance with the latest guide-lines of ICSE Board,
New Delhi. Academic performance of each child is evaluated
and properly recorded by conducting regular unit tests
and project work throughout the year. Quarterly, Half
Yearly and Final Examinations are conducted at the
end of each academic term. Their performance is assessed
and communicated to the parents on a regular basis.
Promotion to the next class is based upon
the cumulative scores achieved by the students at
the end of each academic year. Merit Scholarships
for deserving candidates are also given to the students.

| NON-SCHOLASTIC
ACTIVITIES |
The
School offers a number of co-curricular activities
throughout the year for the common interest of students.
The school functions under four houses Viz, Gandhi
House (green), Tagore House (Blue), Patel House (Red)
and Nehru House (Yellow) respectively. Inter House
games and competitions such as debates, dramatics,
music and dance competitions, fancy dress, poem recitation,
quiz competitions, rangoli, diya & that decoration
competition, salad & flower decoration competitions
etc. are organized along with the studies in order
to enhance the over all development of the students.
Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basket ball, Badminton
and Table Tennis skating yoga, Hockey, Athletics etc.
are some of the games that the academy offers. Well
planned programmes of study-tours cum excursion are
organized on a regular basis which ensures that the
students not only learn to love nature but also gain
educative experiences. Summer-camps have become very
popular with the students and parents alike. The school
offers Vocational courses for the all round development
of students.

Every
student is expected to participate in these activities organized
on Friday/Saturday. Besides the above we have Grand Parent’s
Day, Mother’s Day National Festivals, Children’s
day, Teacher’s day, Annual Sports Day as a regular
feature in every academic session.
Diwali, Holi, ID Christmas, & Dussehra, Celebrations
form an integral part of the extra curri- cular activities
so that the children are made aware of their culture and
traditions.
