ESVC is Asia’s Biggest Solar Challenge. It is conducted by ISIEINDIA every year in the month of March.   The Event (ESVC) is recognized solar car chain event by International Solar Car Federation in India.

Our IIMT team named as “Merlin Mech Drifter” under the guidance of Mr. Satya Prakash Gupta (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering) took part in ESVC- 2019.

The 6th edition of Asia’s biggest Electric Solar Vehicle Championship (ESVC-2019) which kicked off with a bang at the campus of Chandigarh University Gharuan Punjab, saw students coming in from over 23 states. The student teams from more than 60 Universities, Colleges took part in this 5-day long ( 27 th – 31 st March, 2019) Electric Solar Vehicle Championship which was being jointly organized by Chandigarh University, Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (ISIE) and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India.

During the five-day championship our team “Merlin Mech Drifter” competed against other teams for the Best Designed Vehicle, Most Efficient Vehicle, Engine & Gear Testing, Endurance Testing, B-Plan Model and also took part in Racing Competition amongst the solar Power Vehicle which was held on the last day of the event.

Our team “Merlin Mech Drifter” won “Spirit of ESVC” award.
