Polytechnic is a three years diploma programme which is designed to provide Govt. jobs, private jobs to the students. Programme curriculum has been designed as per the needs of the industry.
It has been observed that many core industries like to opt for diploma engineering students in their recruitment drives rather than choosing the B.Tech students. The diploma curriculum has been recently revised as per the NSQF guidelines in collaboration with NITTTR.
Students do have better job opportunities after having the diploma certificates with them. The admission to these diploma programmes is based on entrance exam being conducted by BTEUP every year.
The minimum qualification for appearing in this prestigious exam is the 10th class or ITI. Students who have passed 12th class may also be admitted in the course directly in the second year through lateral entry scheme.
These students have to complete just two years for obtaining the diploma degree. The present education is based on outcomes rather than the conventional outputs and this is totally measurable in terms of employability of the students & what our students have learnt after passing out, higher education etc.
All colleges have been trying to get NBA accreditation for enhancement in the quality of technical education.
