IIMT Group of Colleges, Greater Noida is a hub of aiming journalists who wish to build a mark in this field. There is immense scope for journalism in Uttar Pradesh. Compared to other states in the country, it has the highest circulation of newspapers and also has the highest TV viewership. This is the reason why Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of students doing Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) courses.

There has been a rapid increase in the number of students pursuing journalism education in Uttar Pradesh in the last decade. Today BJMC course is being conducted by almost all the universities of the state. This is the reason that today BJMC education is being imparted in all the major colleges of the state. IIMT Group of Colleges, Greater Noida is one of the leaders in these colleges where students from other states are also pursuing BJMC course.

Every year more than one thousand students apply for admission in BJMC at IIMT College. Due to the limited number of seats in IIMT College affiliated with Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, it is not possible to admit everyone. That is why only qualified students are given admission by the college. Even during the Corona crisis, IIMT College tried to give admission keeping in mind the interests of the students who wanted to do the BJMC course.

Today, the number of students of BJMC in IIMT College is more than other colleges in the state. In other colleges, students are taught only courses, whereas, in IIMT College, priority is given to imparting practical knowledge to the students of BJMC in addition to the curriculum. The college has a TV and radio studio with all facilities where students learn production work. Looking at the future of journalism in the state, it is certain that in the coming years the number of students willing to do Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC) will increase rapidly. Keeping this in mind, IIMT College has started many schemes including start-up in the interest of the students.
