Recognized as one of the best colleges of Engineering and Management, IIMT Group of Colleges is well known for its impeccable overall placement records of more than 9500+ students placed in India’s leading organizations. We have seen a constant rise in the overall placements in Year 2019. Last year in 2020 Pandemic has been a major challenge for the placements in leading institutes, however IIMT has shown a remarkable placement records.
This exponential growth in the scope of placements has been possible due to strategic collaboration and relations with the industries across the Indian territories which include Companies of core Engineering, IT companies, & companies hiring in Management. There have been many companies as start-ups which have been satisfied with the hiring from IIMT over and again.
To name few of our regular hiring partners are TCS, To the New, Paytm, Wipro, Infosys, Webkul, Tommy Hilfiger, Amazon Web Services, Daffodil and many more are there in the row. In the normal conditions we have some of the average packages ranging from 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs however the highest package scaled up to 12 lakhs in 2020. Undoubtedly the Pandemic has affected the overall offering in the packages. The average package during COVID 19 placement season has ranged between 2.40 lakhs to 3.80 lakhs and the highest package has been marked as 10 lakhs per annum.

Yes, if students have internship experience on their resume it speaks volumes about their initiative and internal drive. If you have done an internship it means that you have put in those hours, and if you have done an internship alongside your college it has more impact.This is because it means that you have been able to balance college and work. It is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills and talent.
Many colleges require compulsory project work, however, students don't take this seriously. Sometimes they get inspired by other project works, done by seniors or others and apply the same to their project work. But come placement time, projects are the only thing that can save you in an interview. Many technical interviews are cantered over learning from project work. So make sure you know your project work in and out.
CV short-listing depends on various parameters and are unique to each company. One of the easiest way students are shortlisted is through a CV screening. Some of the other ways are through academic marks cut off or through other technical skill sets. Another layer of shortlisting could be based on internships, project work, extracurricular activities, awards etc.
Number of Companies visiting the campus for final placement each year is more than 250. Last year 260 companies visited IIMT for the final placement.
The final placement season starts from the month of June/July every year and ends by April. Summer internship process starts in the month of April and ends by June/July.
The Training and Placement Department facilitates the students throughout the year with different activities.
Students are exposed to experts from the industry who enlighten them and polish their skills according to the industry.
