Over the years, we've seen a consistent rise in overall placements. This exponential growth in the scope of placements has been possible due to strategic collaboration and relations with the industries across the Indian territories, which include companies of core engineering, IT companies, and companies hiring in management. More than 1150 students of various branches, including mechanical, civil, electronics, IT, etc., were placed in technological, technical, and non-technical companies.
The consistent placements are a result of students' constant training and development throughout the curriculum. The Training and Development wing initiates a variety of personality development classes and coaching to ensure successful placements. With milestone packages of 12 lakhs in the leading technological companies and up to 18 lakhs in the national services, such as the Indian Army, our students have been constantly receiving the most lucrative packages.

Yes, if students have internship experience on their resume it speaks volumes about their initiative and internal drive. If you have done an internship it means that you have put in those hours, and if you have done an internship alongside your college it has more impact.This is because it means that you have been able to balance college and work. It is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills and talent.
Many colleges require compulsory project work, however, students don't take this seriously. Sometimes they get inspired by other project works, done by seniors or others and apply the same to their project work. But come placement time, projects are the only thing that can save you in an interview. Many technical interviews are cantered over learning from project work. So make sure you know your project work in and out.
CV short-listing depends on various parameters and are unique to each company. One of the easiest way students are shortlisted is through a CV screening. Some of the other ways are through academic marks cut off or through other technical skill sets. Another layer of shortlisting could be based on internships, project work, extracurricular activities, awards etc.
Number of Companies visiting the campus for final placement each year is more than 250. Last year 260 companies visited IIMT for the final placement.
The final placement season starts from the month of June/July every year and ends by April. Summer internship process starts in the month of April and ends by June/July.
The Training and Placement Department facilitates the students throughout the year with different activities.
Students are exposed to experts from the industry who enlighten them and polish their skills according to the industry.
