Every organization wants to be the ‘best’ at something from time to time. We IIMTians always believe in proving ourselves leaders in every field. In persuasion to prove ourselves, it was planned to commandeer a world record. After deliberate discussions and many brainstorming sessions, it was resolved to go for writing the thickest manuscript of an engineering book. Feb. 16, 2017, was the proud day for IIMT Greater Noida to set a new world record where a manuscript of an engineering book with a thickness of 64.5 cm was written and prepared by thousands of students in one hour. The book has dimensions of 37×21 cm (length and width). The credit goes to the hard-toiling efforts of a team of around 3000 students that was formed under the mentorship of more than 300 faculty members and their successful planning, preparations, and execution to set this new world record. IIMT Group of Colleges, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, takes enormous pride in possessing this World Record of ‘Thickest Manuscript of Engineering Book’ recorded by the Golden Book of World Records.
