About MCA
The department was incepted in the year 2006. The program emphasizes solid theoretical foundations and includes functional work and application-oriented courses relevant to the most recent computer application advancements. The scholars unveil their learning as their practical activities, to which the whole last semester is dedicated. This department tries to provide an insightful environment to support their specific aptitudes and help them become thorough professionals.
The Department encourages its faculty to attend and conduct conferences, seminars, symposiums, orientation programs, and FDPs to achieve high teaching and research standards. MCA students have been devoting their final semester entirely to project work, which has been of high quality. One of the recent projects taken up by four MCA students of the 2017–2020 batch (with an R&D cell located within the campus) has converted to a product named ‘Smart Mirror’. The alumni of the department are placed in WIPRO, HCL Tech, Accenture, Nagarro, Siksha.com, Tech Mahindra, etc.
One of the most encouraging features of the department is the nature of the interaction of senior students with the students of current batches, which helps them in all-round development, e.g., making them comfortable for training and placement with various industries, besides conducting programming labs and other activities under the aegis of the departmental society, aptly named Aakruti, established in the year 2021.

IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida, offers a full-time MCA degree program from 2006 affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (Dr. APJAKTU), Lucknow.
