About B. Tech. Artificial Intelligence & Data Science Department
IIMT College of Engineering, Greater Noida is one of the leading engineering institute that offers B.Tech. Degree with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI & DS).
The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Programme at IIMT provides students the skills to perform intelligent decisions based on data analysis which is an important component in various real-world applications.
The programme is not only aimed to provide core technologies such as machine learning, data warehouse, data mining, and artificial intelligence; but it also gives in-depth inputs in areas like artificial neural networks, fuzzy techniques, big data analytics and many more. Our aim is to prepare students to become industry-ready and knowledgeable, to pursue careers as data analysts, data scientists and solve major problems related to the field of machine learning, statistics, knowledge discovery and visualization. We help students excel in the field of computer science, applications, and systems with sound knowledge, skills and practice.
Starting 2021, IIMT is offering a unique undergraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, that envisions to equip students with the ability to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues, and - most importantly - identify their consequent responsibilities as engineers of effective solutions for the same The curriculum is interdisciplinary at heart - straddling computer science, mathematics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and their applications across numerous domains. Innovations by the Faculty in Teaching and Learning
Contributions to teaching and learning. These activities may include innovations, including, but not limited to, the use of ICT, instruction delivery, instructional methods, assessment, evaluation, and inclusive classrooms that lead to effective, efficient, and engaging instruction. Any contributions to teaching and learning should satisfy the following criteria:
• The work must be made available on the Institute website.
• The work must be available for peer review and critique.
• The work must be reproducible and developed further by other scholars.
The department/institution may set up appropriate processes for making the contributions available to the public, getting them reviewed, and rewarding them. These may typically include a statement of clear goals, adequate preparation, use of appropriate methods, and significance of results, effective presentation, and reflective critique.
Teaching in the classroom is done through a combination of two or more of the following methodologies:
(a) ‘Chalk and talk’ method to widen dynamic connections with the students.
(b) Assertion-evidence (A-E) approach of presentation for showcasing visual evidence such as a figure, diagram, or photographs of a certain topic through LCD projectors.
• The faculty members have recorded their lectures on special topics and published them on YouTube. The college has a YouTube channel by the name “IIMT Group of Colleges.”
• Faculty use Google Classroom/MS Teams to organize and manage online handouts and assignments, thereby providing flexibility to the students to access the content at any time. This helps the students adapt to “mobile learning.”
• The faculty makes tutorial sessions interactive by discussing a topic within different groups, floating a case study among groups on real-time application regarding a certain topic, or starting a brainstorming session.
• The faculty members have updated their research work/paper published on Google Scholar/Research Gate. This gives the public access to the work done, and the students can continue in a similar direction.
