Value-added courses
At IIMT, we provide value-added courses to all students, regardless of their course. Value-added courses are those that help a person develop their skills in their chosen field of study. They are mostly independent of each type of field. Most colleges form joint ventures with various organizations to help students and faculty keep up with the latest trends and technological advancements in their chosen field of study. These value-added courses are additional career development programs. These courses provide advancements in their particular fields.
Personality Development
The career development cell offers PDP classes to all students.
Personality development is defined as a process of developing and enhancing one’s personality. Personality development helps an individual gain confidence and high self-esteem. Personality development is also said to have a positive impact on one’s communication skills and the way he sees the world. Individuals tend to develop a positive attitude as a result of personality development. Every individual has his characteristic way of behaving, responding to emotions, perceiving things, and looking at the world. No two individuals are similar. What an individual sees in his childhood days and, most importantly, his growing days form his personality. How an individual is raised plays an important role in shaping his personality. Personality is nothing but the aggregate conglomeration of memories and incidents in an individual’s entire life span. Environmental factors, family background, financial conditions, genetic factors, situations, and circumstances. The CDC at IIMT organizes regular PDP sessions for all of its students, where they learn and improve on speaking skills, reasoning, group discussions, interview skills, verbal ability, mock tests, and other special sessions.
Aptitude Training
The CDC offers quantitative aptitude classes for all aspiring government exam students.
Aptitude tests are usually considered a measure of general intelligence. Since a majority of companies and institutions use aptitude tests as selection criteria, job seekers, especially freshmen, should be well-versed in aptitude concepts. Aptitude refers to an individual's ability to learn or acquire knowledge. Most of the jobs in the corporate world require employees to expand their skill set through additional training. Aptitude indicates an individual's mental stability and analytical skills. Someone who doesn't have the right skills for a position or who isn't a good fit with the corporate culture often ends up being replaced. At IIMT Group Colleges, we have a special team of aptitude experts to train and develop students' aptitude skills. Our trainers discuss the requirements with the companies and recruiters from various sectors to know what is expected of them from our students. Thus, IIMT students are trained in the following:
