Now days, the diploma courses are largely taken by students across the country due to the large employment opportunities to the diploma holders who successfully complete diploma programs i.e. polytechnic.
Mainly, there are two options which the students can choose after completing their Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
1. Going for Higher Studies: In this option diploma holder can go for higher studies ( B.Tech, BE, AMIE ) after completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. This will help the scholars gain more advanced knowledge in his field which can open more career opportunities for the candidate.
2. Going for a Job: If the diploma holder does not want to go for higher studies (B.Tech, BE, AMIE ), he/she can also go directly for job recruitment in either private or government sectors. It will help the scholars to realize experience within the field and obtain promoted afterward .
Government Companies (BHEL,BEL) and Public sector undertakings are offering job opportunities to the diploma holders in various engineering branches like, Mechanical, Production, Automobile and Maintenance. Indian Railways, Airways, roadways, Thermal Power Plants and many other companies like BHEL, BEL, NTPC, Coal India, HPCL, AAI, ECIL, BPCL, Government PSU like NACL, NLC, SAIL, NTPC, IOCL, ONGC, Power Grid, Railtel, NMDC, RITES etc.
Many PSUs, Private companies have also opened the gates for the diploma holders. Many private companies need diploma holders for positions in several domains like marketing, sales, servicing, BPO, engineering (Mechanical), hotel management, travel and tourism, etc. In fact diploma holders get more opportunities than Degree holders.
