Distribution of Tablets to Students of IIMT College of Polytechnic

Tablets were distributed at IIMT College of Polytechnic, Greater Noida, on August 13, 2024, as part of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme. Shri Tejpal Nagar, MLA representing Dadri Vidhansabha, was honored as the chief guest during the ceremony. The distribution aimed to enhance college students’ technological skills by providing them with tablets. The “DigiShakti” scheme, initiated by the government of Uttar Pradesh, has the goal of empowering youth through digital means.

What is “Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme”?

The government of Uttar Pradesh’s flagship program, the Swami Vivekananda Youth Empowerment Scheme 2023, also known as the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shashaktikaran Yojana 2023 or the Muft/Free Tablet/Smartphone Scheme 2023, aims to give the state’s youth access to opportunities for entrepreneurship and skill development. What is the “DigiShakti” scheme?

In recent years, the Government of India’s Digital India project has had remarkable success in shifting the distribution of services at various levels from manual to online platforms. It is now simpler to get the advantages of several government services and approvals online under the auspices of Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living. In addition, even during the Corona era, the advantages of digital facilities were evident, and the unavoidable necessity for digital empowerment was realized.
