Law courses in India are increasingly gaining popularity among students both at the undergraduate and at the postgraduate level with changed times. A student can either enroll for a five-year B.A.LL.B course straight after your 10+2 or join a three year LLB course after graduation. The small difference between a 3-year L.L.B course and 5-year L.L.B course is that in the former you only study core Law subjects, while the latter also teaches basic subjects of graduation like Sociology, History, Political Science, Economics along with the core subjects of Law.

So a lot depends on students whether they choose BA LLB (5 year integrated course) or LLB (3 year course). Based on the choice of the student, one can choose whether he or she wants to work for a law firm, join the practice of another lawyer.

The highest paying law jobs in India include Intellectual Property Lawyer, Corporate Lawyer, Law Firm Associate, Tax Lawyer, Judicial Officers, Judge or Law School Professor etc.  To join judiciary, you need to clear the examination conducted by Public Service Commissions of different States.
