- Judicial Service Exam
The Indian Judicial services (IJS) is one of the most respectable, well-known and attractive exam for a law graduate. High Courts held the Judicial Service exams and to select Judicial Officers for the subordinate and higher Judiciary.
Eligibility Criteria
- The Judicial Services Examination provides two tiers of entry: higher judiciary services and lower judiciary services. The eligibility for both levels are shown below:
- Lower Judiciary Services – Candidate must have passed an LL.B. program and must be registered as an advocate under the Advocates’ Act 1961.
- Higher Judiciary Services – Candidate should have passed an LL.B. program and be registered as an Advocate under the Advocates Act of 1961. The candidate should have 7 years of experience as a lawyer.
JAG
The JAG (Judge Advocate General) also called the legal advisor to the commander of the Indian Army, represents army cases in civil courts. There is no provision of written examination of the JAG selection process. The SSB (Service Selection Board) immediately calls the applicants for an interview, which further has two stages.
- CLAT-PG
CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is one of India’s most popular postgraduate entrance exams for students of law. This national-level entrance exam allows aspirants to enrol in the LL.M. program offered by numerous institutions across the country. LLB graduates can take this exam.
- UPSC Exam
The ICS (Indian civil Services) is regarded as one of the famous job opportunities in the country. The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the civil services exam. This exam is conducted at three levels: a preliminary exam, main exam, and interview.
- SEBI Grade A Exam
For its legal branch, the SEBI (Security and Exchange Board of India) appoints legal officers and assistant managers.
