Indian standard of education system is certainly a good as compared to the other under developed country. A university once approved by UGC or AICTE has full authority to run any courses it wants and normally has many colleges affiliated to these organizations for the purposes of imparting education.

We can take a good example of this were the MBA and MCA course conducted by many educational society which required AICTE approval but the Honorable Supreme Court of India declared in a recent judgment in April 2013 that the AICTE can only act in an advisory capacity and not a governing body which is the UGC only.
