About Student Council

The Student Council is a representative body of students constituted under the supervision and guidance of the Student’s Welfare Co-ordinator. It functions as a formal platform for student representation and participation in the academic and co-curricular governance of the institution. The primary objective of the Student Council is to foster leadership qualities, democratic values, and a sense of responsibility among students through active involvement in institutional activities.

The Student Council plays a vital role in planning, organizing, and executing academic, cultural, social, and community-oriented programmes that promote institutional spirit, discipline, and social awareness. It also acts as the collective voice of the student body, facilitating constructive dialogue between students and the administration, and addressing student ideas, interests, and concerns in a structured and lawful manner.The functioning of the Student Council is guided by established parliamentary procedures and principles of democratic decision-making. Proposals and ideas are deliberated upon, discussed, and put to vote, and decisions are finalized with due approval of the Student Council President and competent authorities, in accordance with institutional norms.

The Student Council provides an inclusive opportunity for students interested in leadership, organizational conduct, event management, public speaking, and governance to actively contribute to the holistic development of the institution. Participation in the Student Council encourages students to develop professionalism, ethical conduct, and leadership skills essential for their future roles in the legal profession
