About Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance) Department
In order to carve out a special place for itself in the field of repair and maintenance education in India, the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance) at IIMT College of Polytechnic, Greater Noida, was founded in 2012. It offers a 3-year / 2-year (Lateral Entry) Diploma Programme.
By enhancing the students technical, analytical, quantitative, logical, ethical, and language skills, the department offers a solid foundation for their overall growth and development. The department offers a pool of highly skilled and knowledgeable academic members with backgrounds from nationally renowned institutions in a variety of research fields, including machine design, thermal engineering, industrial engineering, material science, and computer-aided manufacturing, among others.
The department has a Thermal engineering lab, an Applied Mechanics lab, a Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machine lab, a CAD/CAM lab, an Engineering Materials Science lab, a Workshop Technology and Technology lab, a Repair and Maintenance lab, a Measurement & Metrology lab, a Refrigeration & Air-conditioning lab, and a Drawing Hall as part of the Diploma curriculum that has been prescribed by AICTE & UPBTE - Lucknow. The department had established the Excellence Centre for the development of students talents in an effort to bridge the gap between industry and academics.
Several students have established Start-Ups with the help of the departments faculty, among other significant accomplishments. The former employees are now enjoying successful careers with prestigious public and private businesses like Yamaha Motor India, Motherson Automotive, Global Autotech Ltd, Munjal Showa Ltd, Clearpack Automation, Anjani Technoplast, Sadan Vikas, Uniparts India Ltd., New Allenberry Works, Romsons, Dhoot, Vision India, and many more.

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance) at IIMT college of Polytechnic , Greater Noida. We started our journey in the year 2012 with the Diploma in mechanical maintenance Stream . Over the past decade, we have grown our expertise in innovative ideas and develop the capability of taking new challenges and we have also improved departmental industry collaboration through internship Programme and Interaction with professional society like ISHRAE student chapter. The department has well qualified, senior and dedicated faculties. We encourage regular interaction among the students, parents and staff. We have good library facility and infrastructure facilities.
